Army Gen. (Ret.) Jiří Šedivý
guarantor of the MPA – Security and Crisis Management programme at the CEVRO Institute University in Prague, former Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic
Retired Army General Jiří Šedivý was Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic from May 1998 to November 2002. The main content of his work was to make such changes in the army as to become the army’s payment requirements for joining NATO. He served in the army from 1971, from 1995 to 1996 he participated in the IFOR mission as commander of the Army of the Czech Republic contingent. In August 2003, he founded his own consulting company Generals s.r.o., later worked as a consultant at Euroenergy, spol. s r. o.. He currently works, among other things, as the head of the Department of Security Studies and the guarantor of the MPA – Security and Crisis Management programme at the CEVRO Institute University in Prague.
