The 10th annual national conference Our Security Cannot Be Taken for Granted took place on June 20, 2023 in the Ball Games Hall of the Prague Castle. Understandably, the theme of the Russian invasion of Ukraine sounded throughout the program, but it also returned to the 30th anniversary of the independent Czech Republic. This was also reflected in the participation of foreign guests, such as Maj. Gen. Daryl L. Bohac, commander of the Nebraska National Guard and Maj. Gen. Thomas M. Suelzer, commander of the Texas National Guard, because the same anniversary applies to the cooperation between these guards and the Czech Army.
We are honored that representatives of the government of the Czech Republic and representatives of political parties represented in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic have accepted the invitation to speak alongside leading experts. In addition to condemning Russian aggression, everyone agreed on the necessary strengthening of Czech national security, whether through international alliances, investments in the armed forces or securing energy resources.
